To Use or Not To Use, That Is The Question
"Do you use your bags?"
Every collector will have been asked this at some point, whether its their partner, child, friend, parent or even another collector! And the answer isn't the same for everyone! It isn't that black and white!
So be honest, do you use your Loungefly bags or do you display them or both? Ive also had few people say to me “what’s the point in buying a bag if you’re not going to use it”? Or “it’s just a bag use it”!
Everyone is entitled to their say an opinion and what works for them but nothing brings me more joy than walking into my room and seeing my bags on display. Yet when family or friends come over they are always shocked when I say probably 99% of my bags are still brand new and unused (if you're like me and also collect funko pops too, you will also have the 'in the box/out of the box' debate!)
Sometimes I find that when a bag arrives and I have it in person in my hands, they are far too nice to use - like my Princess Sequins Collection. I would be gutted if the sequins came off or were damaged. Its so satisfying seeing them all sparkle
However, I do have a few select Loungefly that I take off the shelf and are taken on an outing with me. For example if I’m going somewhere nice I want a statement bag or if I’m going to the cinema and I have a bag that is from the same fandom as the film, you can bet I am taking that bag with me! Recently I went to see Beetlejuice 2 and obviously I HAD to take my Beetlejuice Sandworm Crossbody.
Do I really want to use my exclusive sequin or my rare Loungefly’s for a trip to my local supermarket for just some bread? Definitely not!
My bags are specially chosen and mean a lot to me so If I’m going to be using my Loungefly then it has to be somewhere nice or a special occasion like a birthday, wedding anniversary or a Loungefly event at a local shop. My collection ranges from Horror to Disney to Childhood favourites. Some of my collection have not been easy to get and most likely wouldn't be able get them again - theres no way I'm letting them out into the wild!
In an ideal world I would buy double of each bag so I could use one and display one without worrying I’m going to ruin or damage my bag but that’s not possible :(
So for now i will keep my gorgeous bags safe for me to admire on display 🥰
